Kim Fremont is running for Upper Providence Township Council, District 5.
Since being unanimously appointed to Council in 2023, Kim has provided a fresh face and a new perspective for Upper Providence Township District 5. As a Council member, Kim has helped organize community town halls related to traffic safety, municipal operations, and financial obligations. She has supported open communication with the community, especially as it relates to fiscal transparency. Prior to being appointed to Council, Kim served on the Township’s Sustainability Task Force and the Ethics Commission.
As a working mother of three, Kim intimately understands the daily challenges facing families in our community, and she is committed to creating a government that serves its residents in a fiscally responsible manner. Kim asks relevant questions, facilitates open and honest dialogue between residents and Council, and makes data-informed decisions. She supports developing a sound budget, reducing unnecessary spending, and making fiscal decisions that address the past, recognize current needs, and strive toward a stable future.
Kim brings experience and a passion for positive change to Upper Providence Township. She earned a PhD in Educational Psychology from Temple University and has over 20 years of experience in college and university administration. With a background in counseling and higher education, Kim has dedicated her career to serving others and supporting environments that encourage engagement, continuous growth, and open discourse.
Kim lives in the Timberwyck neighborhood with her husband, Scott, three children, and a poorly behaved puppy, Carmen. She loves living in Upper Providence Township and is eager to continue serving the residents of District 5.
