A lifelong township resident with 25 years of experience in program management, Peterson brings expertise in efficiency and results. She has served in numerous community roles, including president of the Media and Springton Lake Parent Teacher Groups and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Passionate about transparency, inclusiveness, and environmental sustainability, Peterson is committed to building a stronger, more engaged Upper Providence for all residents.

As current council chair, she is committed to advancing key priorities like sustainability, public safety, pedestrian accessibility, and fully funding emergency medical services.
A lifelong Upper Providence resident and Penncrest graduate, Peterson lives with her husband, Terek, and their two children, JB and Morgan. With an MBA in Information Science from Saint Joseph’s University and 25 years in program management within healthcare and pharmaceuticals, she brings a wealth of experience in project planning, efficiency, and delivering results.
Peterson’s service to our community runs deep. She has served as president of the Media and Springton Lake Parent Teacher Groups, volunteered as a certified USA Mid-Atlantic Swimming official, coached Media Area Girls Softball, and chaired Penncrest’s Swimming and Diving booster club. As a former Court Appointed Special Advocate, she fought for abused and neglected children, and as her homeowners’ association secretary, she was a reliable voice for neighbors.
Dedicated to transparency and inclusiveness, Peterson works to ensure all voices are heard and strives to find creative solutions to the township’s needs. She is a passionate advocate for sustainability who supports composting, rainwater management, and waste reduction. She also champions diversity, inclusion, and equitable public service.
Inspired by her family and neighbors, Peterson is ready to continue building a stronger, more inclusive Upper Providence.
