The School Board is the governing body for the school district and is responsible for the educational experience of all the students.

• Responsibilities include hiring and evaluating the superintendent, setting district goals and policies, approving the annual budget, negotiating employee contracts, making decisions about curriculum and textbooks, and establishing district-wide policies.

• School Directors meet a few times a month, including legislative meetings, work sessions, executive sessions, and policy meetings.

• Term length is 4 years.
