Dr. Susan Henderson-Utis is seeking re-election to the Rose Tree Media School Board, where she has served since 2017, including three terms as president and as the current human resources chair. She advocates for quality education and strong schools.


Her volunteer work includes roles with CASA Youth Advocates, the Media Youth Aid Panel, and Philadelphia READS. She holds a Doctorate in Education and a Juris Doctorate. Henderson-Utis works full-time as a social studies teacher in Conshohocken and has a long history of community service. She lives in Upper Providence with her husband and two children and is committed to transparent, collaborative leadership and responsible spending.

Dr. Susan Henderson-Utis is seeking re-election to the Rose Tree Media School Board, where she has served since 2017, including three terms as president and as the current human resources chair. A passionate advocate for quality education, she believes every child deserves an enriching learning experience, and that strong schools are the backbone of a thriving society.

Henderson-Utis holds a Doctorate in Education from Marymount University and a Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also a Pennsylvania-certified secondary educator (grades 7–12) and works full-time as a Social Studies teacher at AIM Academy in Conshohocken. Her commitment to community service includes roles with the Chester Housing Authority, The Center for Resolutions, and representing indigent clients in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

Her extensive volunteer work includes serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and on the advisory board of CASA Youth Advocates for Delaware and Chester Counties. She has chaired the Media Youth Aid Panel, volunteered for Philadelphia READS, led her homeowners’ association, and served on the Delaware County Women’s Commission. 

A resident of Upper Providence with her husband, Andrey, and their two children, both students at Springton Lake Middle School, Henderson-Utis brings a personal understanding of the connection between strong schools, vibrant communities, and student success. She is committed to transparent, collaborative leadership and responsible spending, and looks forward to continuing her work for the board.
