Dr. Theresa Napson-Williams is seeking re-election to the Rose Tree Media School Board. Appointed Board President in 2023, she has led efforts to provide opportunities for all students, including plans for a K–1 early learning center with full-day kindergarten.
She has been a member of our community for 20 years along with her two sons, Malcolm and Garvey, who are both graduates of Penncrest High School. With 25 years of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in American History, she is a dedicated educational professional and community leader committed to ensuring the district meets every student’s needs.

Dr. Theresa Napson-Williams is seeking re-election to the Rose Tree Media School Board. Appointed Board President in 2023, she remains a driving force behind the board’s efforts to expand educational opportunities for all students. Such efforts include developing a K–1 early learning center to support full-day kindergarten and local families.
With 25 years of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in American History from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Dr. Napson-Williams has a deep commitment to education. She has also volunteered with Media Little League and various RTM parent organizations, and served as a commissioner of Delaware County’s Women’s Commission. She has been a member of our community for 20 years along with her two sons, Malcolm and Garvey, who are both graduates of Penncrest High School. As an RTM parent, she understands firsthand the vital role a school board plays in student success.
Throughout her tenure on the board, she has prioritized transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility through budgetary discipline. As Board President, she led the hiring of award-winning and nationally recognized Superintendent Dr. Joe Meloche. A dedicated, proven leader, Dr. Napson-Williams is ready to continue the school board’s work by driving growth and success for our district. If re-elected, she will continue to ensure that all our community’s students’ needs are met.
